Introducing MyZone

9/22/2020

What Is It?
MYZONE uses wireless and cloud technology to monitor heart rate, calories, and time exercising that convert into MyZone Effort Points (MEPs), with a focus on rewarding effort rather than fitness. Plus, you can view your workout efforts live on your smartphone, make connections and challenge friends, earn points, and gain status ranking. Get trustworthy results with 99.4% EKG accuracy!
How does it work?
MYZONE technology includes MYZONE wearable belts, which track your heart rate, and MYZONE software linked to monitors, which display your heart rate, your goal progress and MEPs on a screen. Cloud and Bluetooth-based technology enable your workout status to be constantly updated on a monitor inside the Tri-Force Fitness Training Center.
What options do I have for wearables?
There are differences between the MZ1 and the MZ3 MyZone Heart Rate Monitor belts:
  • MZ1: This belt is the smaller of the two. It takes a button battery (you can’t charge it) that lasts up to about six months before needing replacement. When you’re working out, you need to make sure that your phone is either on your person or no further than 10 feet away. The belt doesn’t have any memory itself, so it needs to be constantly connected to and talking with your phone to save your workout.
  • MZ3: This belt is the bigger of the two belts and is the one that comes with a rechargeable battery (although it still only needs to be charged every six months or so). This belt does have memory and doesn’t need to be close to your phone to workout with.
Does in connect to the In-Body machine for tracking?
Yes, we have integrated the MYZONE technology with our In-body composition machine  That means your progress stats are automatically stored in the app without having to input any data.
Do I need to be a member to purchase a wearable?
No, even if you have moved away, you can still order MyZone wearable and then participate in Tri-Force Group Challenges through the MyZone App.

Tri-Force Fitness Now Offers DARI Motion Technology for Health and Mobility Screening
DARI Motion gives Tri-Force Fitness the ability to quickly identify the top three areas for improving anyone’s mobility.

Tri-Force Fitness is taking performance improvement to the next level with the purchase of their DARI Motion (DARI) system. This cutting-edge technology will allow Tri-Force to quickly assess anyone’s biomechanics and identify asymmetries, imbalances, kinetic deficiencies, and compensation patterns. Then, with data in hand, certified professional training staff can help clients improve their fitness and mobility.

“We are so excited to be able to offer DARI Motion to our Tri-Force Fitness Screening Lab.” said Co-Founder Chris Chartier. “We can now take what we’ve been doing for our members and extend it to the entire community. The DARI system includes 8 cameras that surround each individual allowing it to detect deficiencies and imbalances that the human eye cannot. After finishing a series of 19 movements, we get a comprehensive DARI Performance report showing how the subject did.”

Two reports are currently offered: A DARI Performance report highlights three areas for improvement, performance data including jump heights and squat depths, and an Overall Performance Score. The DARI 360 report focuses on areas for improvement, mobility and range of motion, and Overall Movement Score. These objective measurements give quantifiable results making it easy to track progress and changes to health and mobility.

About DARI Motion

DARI Motion is a markerless motion analytics software platform offered by Scientific Analytics, Inc. It is the world’s first and only technology that delivers validated 3D kinematic and kinetic motion analytics without sensors, markers, or force plates. The Challenge

Over the summer, Tri-Force Fitness of McKinney, Texas hosted an 8-week challenge to any and all participants. The name of the challenge was “Fat Cat Challenge” with the winner at the end receiving a cash prize of $1,000. This was great motivation for the challengers to achieve results that they otherwise would not have thought possible. The challengers participated in our Structured Load and Movement (SLAM) training method. They also received guidance on proper meal planning and nutritional supplementation. Twelve people completed the challenge and the final results were based upon objective measurements using our In-Body 270 Composition Analyzer.

Objective Measurements

The In-Body 270 is a non-invasive bioelectrical impedance analyzer. It’s a safe device that sends low-level currents through the body via hand and foot electrodes. The impedance that the current encounters is measured and the result is a full body composition. The challengers were measured bi-weekly so we could determine their progress and make any adjustments.

The Results

Picture
After the 8-week challenge ended, we saw all of our participants lose body fat. The overall group saw an increase of 6.5 lbs. of skeletal muscle mass and a decrease of 70.2 lbs. of body fat. The entire group also saw their Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) increase by a total of nearly 100 kcal while their Body Fat Percentage dropped nearly 32% overall. One of the most interesting finding was the impact of adding proper diet and supplementation to the training. Group 1 primarily focused on SLAM training and realized a 2-3 pound drop in body fat. Group 2 added proper meal planning to the SLAM training and achieved another 1-2 pounds of body fat loss. Group 3 incorporated a personalized nutritional supplement regimen to their diet and basic SLAM training as well as an additional rounds of training throughout the week. Their results ranged from 11 to 18 pounds of body fat reduction in an 8-week period.
